I'm sure you hv taken the MRT. If you want to move from Bedok to jurong East , I'm afraid you can't fly.

It kind of depends on the distance... trains can be really nice between cities that are close, especially since you can head from city centre to city centre, instead of between airports on the outskirts!

When you say u want to move to some place, I think you mean you want to visit that place but not live there. So u want to know which way is better in getting there. Your question is actually not clear. So if you are talking about a holiday it obviously depends on a few factors - distance, time and your budget.

If the distance is far, say bangkok, it will take you 2 days to travel by train but 2 1/2 h by plane. If you hv time then of course you can travel by train. As for the level of comfort, it depends on yr class of travel, ie. Economy, business or 1st class on the plane, or whether it's a budget or regular airline. That depends on yr budget. If you take a train, it also depends on whether you travel 2nd class or 1st class or cabin. Imagine that you will be sitting for most of the journey on the train so it may get uncomfortable for yr back. But of course if you travel the E& O Oriental express from Singapore to Bangkok, you travel in the lap of luxury as if you are in Raffles Hotel. You sleep on nice beds and you dine on gourmet food. If do, even a 2 day journey might not be long enough. That is why in India you can hv this kind of travel on the train and they are called palace on wheels. But be prepared to pay more than US$1k a nite per head.
